- "The Bible is its own interpreter." - Harold Camping (The President of Family Radio who predicted the Rapture would take place on May 21, 201, and than that the end of the world would take place on October 21, 2011.) (5/2/13)
- My interpretation of Mr. Camping's statement is "Me interpreting the Bible by myself is the Bible interpreting itself" (5/2/13)
- The strange thing is that all the people who say "The Bible is its own interpreter" seem to come up with different interpretations. (5/2/13)
- For example R. C. Sproul and Joel Osteen have just about as far apart interpretations of the Bible as you can get but the both say "The Bible is its own interpreter." (5/2/13)
- You can not argue with these types of people about what the Bible says because after all your interpretation is just your interpretation but their interpretation is the Bible interpreting itself. (5/2/13)
