"It is the belief that original sin did not taint human natureand that mortal will is still capable of choosing good or evil without special Divine aid." -Wikipedia
I accept the first part. I believe that our own sin taints our own nature totally, not just causing guilt and shame but also affecting our emotions, intellect and will. But I do not believe the sin of another, even our ancestor, taints our nature if that is what is meant by original sin. That still seems inherently unjust to me. I, however, reject the second half as humans can not do any thing include exist without special divine aid. Anti-Paganism and the doctrine of Original Sin as they understand comes from a misinteriptation of the story of Adam and Eve as history rather than as myth as it was intended. The ancients all understood the story of Adam and Eve as a myth. When the Bible speaks of our we sin in Adam, it referring to the story of Adam and Eve as a myth is repeated in our live as is the nature of a myths.
